You will never regret washing your face
Wash your face. It may seem like a straightforward task but correctly washing your face is crucial to the health of your skin and is often overlooked by many. Trust me; your skin will thank me later.
Where to start?
Select a cleanser based on advice from your esthetician. We suggest starting with a creamy cleanser and an active cleanser to allow for double cleansing.
Why do I need to cleanse my face twice?
Throughout the day and the night, your skin will attract airborne bacteria, pollution, oil, debris that can contribute to aging, pigmentation, and breakouts. Double cleansing is a gentle yet thorough way to give you the results you need and want from your skincare.
Make sure to clean your hands before washing your face.
Step one, apply your first cleanser to your face, massaging for at least 30 seconds to a minute before rinsing. The task of the first cleanse is to remove oil, debris, makeup, and anything else that has accumulated onto your skin throughout the day or as you sleep at night. One of my favourite for this step is our Mega Purifying Cleanser. This may require two passes with the first cleanse if you have heavy makeup on. Next, remove that with lukewarm water and pat your face dry. Too hot or too cold of water can be jarring to the skin and cause more damage than necessary.
Step two, apply your second cleanser. This should be an active cleanser that will clean much deeper into your pores and help remove any impurities. One of my favourite for this is our Gentle Facial Wash with BIOCELL-sc. This could be missed if you were only to follow step one. Double cleansing can help to brighten any dullness and lead to a plump and more youthful appearance over time. It can also help your serums and moisturizers be more effective in your skincare routine.
A realistic skincare routine and quality skincare products must go hand in hand to produce the best results and keep your skin in tip-top shape Health wise.
